Rupp Sets Americsn 5000m Record

The London Olympics 10000m silver medallist, Galen Rupp, set a new American record over 5000m distance last night at the Boston University Multi-Team meet.

Rupp last night recorded a magnificent 13:01.26 also setting the 8th fastest time in history. Rupp previously held the American 5k record until last year when fellow American, Bernard Lagat, broke his record in Milrose Games.
