No More A&B Standards for World Champs

There will be a new system of how athletes will qualify for the world outdoor championships, the track and field governing body IAAF announced. The new system that will replace the old A and B qualifying marks will be replaced with one standard only and will be applied for the 2015 Beijing World championships.

 The trackandfieldnews.com website posetd : "The IAAF has announced that starting with the ’15 World Champs in Beijing the current qualifying scheme of A- and B-standards will be replaced with a single qualification standard for each event, “which aims to fill 75% of the quota for that discipline. The rest of the places will be filled by the top-ranked athletes in each event.”
