The 3 time Olympic champion Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown slipped through with a public warning by the Jamaica Athletics Administration Association for her use of a banned diuretic.
Campbell-Brown in May at the Jamaican International Invitational tested positive for a banned diuretic called hydrochlorothiazide and was provisionally suspended by IAAF. Her case was passed to Jamaica Athletics Administration Association where the final decision was made on Wednesday.
"The disciplinary committee has issued a ruling that Veronica Campbell-Brown has committed an anti-doping violation, contrary to IAAF Rule 32.2a," the organisation said in a statement.
"They have recommended that a reprimand without any period of ineligibility would be appropriate."
Another source says that the banned diuretic was contained in a cream that Campbell-Brown was using to treat a leg injury. They also say the the athlete declared the use of the cream on her doping control form.
