Russia Defends European Team Title
Russia defended their European Team crown in the 4th European Athletics
Team Championships Super League in Gateshead on Sunday.
Just half a point was between Russia and Germany with only two
events left iin the competition, saw the defending champions to win their third European team title in a row.
russia's Men's 4x400m relay finished ahead of Germany with Vladimir
Krasnov coming through in the home straight to finish second in the race
with Germany's Jonas Plass back in fourth.
The final 10 vicotry points gave Russias Maria Kuchina who won the women's high jump, the last event in the competition.
