David Olivers 13.16 in 110m hurdles and Anna Chicherovas 2.02m performance in the women's high jump were only couple of brilliant results achieved at the IAAF Beijing World Challenge meet on Tuesday (21).
The 2008 world championship bronze medalist, Oliver, took down the men's 110m field running 13.16 seconds, the best time in the world so far this year. Jamaican national record holder in the event Dwight Tomas took second in 12.44 while defending world champion Jason Richardson finished only in third 13.46.
In the women's high jump London Olympic Champion, Anna Chicherova of Russia, showed high class in her second outdoor competition of the year by clearing 2.02m in the women's high jump. Chicherovas result tops the world season list in the event. Croatias Ana Simic took second with a new personal best mark of 1.95m with Nadezhda Dusanova of Uzbekistan in third 1.92.
