Defending Wolrd and Olympic Champion in 100m hurdles, Sally Pearson of Australia, suffered another hamstring injury that could put her out of competitions until July.

According to AP News, Pearson injured her hamstring while running a relay at a meet in Sri Lanka on Saturday.

Pearson earlier this year already suffered from the same hamstring injury, which put her out of competing in Australian atheltics series in January and February.

Australia’s head track and field coach Eric Hollings worth says he expects that 26-year-old Pearson will be fit enough to try to defend her world title at Moscow in August. “If we can get her through a good set of races in July, there should be no problem from there on in.” Hollings told press on Monday.
