The 2026 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships continued to deliver world-class performances on Friday and Saturday at Icahn Stadium in New York, with Olympic champions Noah Lyles and Sha'Carri Richardson successfully defending their national 100-meter titles and several more U.S. champions crowned across the track and field program.
Lyles produced the standout sprint performance of the meet on Friday, running a world-leading 9.79 seconds to secure his third U.S. outdoor men's 100m title. The reigning Olympic champion looked dominant throughout the competition after opening with a 9.97 in the heats and an impressive 9.76 wind-assisted semifinal before lowering the world lead in the final. Ronnie Baker finished second, while Kenny Bednarek claimed third.
