Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson will make her much-anticipated return to indoor competition at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais in Liévin on 19 February, organizers have confirmed.
The British star returns to Liévin for the third time. She claimed victory there in 2023 with 1:57.71, just ten days before smashing her personal best in Birmingham. Her first appearance came in 2022, when she finished fourth in 2:01.71 as a rising U23 talent.
Now the reigning Olympic champion from Paris, Hodgkinson arrives as one of the hottest names in global middle-distance running. With her indoor PB of 1:57.18 and an outdoor national record of 1:54.61, speculation is already building: can she lower her Liévin best — and could the indoor world record of 1:55.82 be under threat?
