World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 - Final Entry Lists Released
The final entry lists for the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 2025 confirm participation of more than 2,200 athletes representing nearly 200 nations. The competition will take place at Japan’s National Stadium from 13–21 September. Notably, 38 of the 41 individual gold medalists from the 2023 Budapest edition are set to return in Tokyo.

Among the athletes are global stars and world record-holders Faith Kipyegon (1500m), Jakob Ingebrigtsen (1500m & 5000m), Karsten Warholm (400m hurdles), Yaroslava Mahuchikh (high jump), Mondo Duplantis (pole vault), Yulimar Rojas (triple jump), Noah Lyles and Kishane Thompson, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (sprints), and Ryan Crouser (shot put). These defending champions will aim to add to their global medal tallies in Tokyo.
