Final Start Lists: Gyulai István Memorial - Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix
The 2025 Gyulai István Memorial – Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix will light up the National Athletic Center in Budapest on Tuesday, August 12, as part of the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold series. Action begins at 15:00 local time (CEST) with a packed program of field and track events.
Sprint fans will be spoiled with world-class line-ups in both the men’s and women’s 100m. World leader Kishane Thompson headlines the men’s field alongside Akani Simbine, Ronnie Baker, Ackeem Blake, and Abdul-Rasheed Saminu. On the women’s side, Jamaican greats Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson face off against Marie-Josée Ta Lou-Smith, Tina Clayton, and rising American talents Jacious Sears and Tamari Davis.
The meeting will also feature Olympic champions and global medalists across multiple disciplines. Wayde van Niekerk returns in the men’s 400m, Hansle Parchment takes on the 110m hurdles, and Femke Bol stars in the women’s 400m hurdles. Armand Duplantis leads a strong pole vault field, while Miltiadis Tentoglou and Ivana Španović headline the long jumps. The throws promise fireworks with Joe Kovacs, Leonardo Fabbri, and Rajindra Campbell in the shot put, plus Ethan Katzberg, Bence Halász, and Paweł Fajdek in the hammer.
