Stacked Entry Lists Revealed for 2025 World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou

The countdown is on! From May 10–11, the world’s fastest and most electrifying relay squads will light up the track at the 2025 World Athletics Relays in Guangzhou, China — and the entry lists are packed with star power.

A total of 730 athletes — 406 men and 324 women representing 43 nations — will compete in the high-stakes qualifying event for the 2025 World Championships and the Paris 2026 World Relays. And the field is absolutely loaded.

Between them, the athletes have collected 33 medals from the Paris 2024 Olympics and 34 from the 2023 World Championships. That means we’re looking at a sprint spectacle featuring the best of the best.

Among the headline acts is Olympic 200m gold medallist and reigning World Athlete of the Year Letsile Tebogo, ready to anchor Botswana’s charge. Canada’s Paris Olympic 4x100m champions are back in full force to defend their supremacy. And Jamaican legends are lining up once again: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, a sprint icon with multiple Olympic and world titles, and Shericka Jackson, the reigning world 200m champion, are both in.

Add in Kenya’s world 800m champion Mary Moraa and Wayde van Niekerk, the South African 400m world record-holder, and you’ve got a meet where every baton handoff could be a world-class moment.
