The complete qualification framework and the 'Road to Nanjing 25' tracking tool have now been released for the World Athletics Indoor Championships scheduled in Nanjing from March 21 to 23, 2025.
The World Athletics Council approved the timetable, qualifying window, and standards at its meeting in late July. The qualification process incorporates a dual pathway where half of the athletes will qualify through meeting entry standards, while the other half will secure their spots via top performance lists. Athletes must achieve their qualifying performances within the set window from September 1, 2024, to March 9, 2025.
Designed to assist athletes, media, and fans in monitoring the progress of qualification for the upcoming World Indoor Championships in Nanjing, the 'Road to Nanjing 25' online tool allows users to filter data by discipline, country, and qualification status, offering a real-time overview throughout the qualification period.
It is important to note that the tool does not show which athletes have been officially selected by their national federations; final entries will be announced closer to the event.
