The Atascocita Boys 4x100m Smashes US High School Record with 38.92

The Atascocita boys' 4x100m relay team achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new U.S. high school record at the Victor Lopez Classic held in Houston, Texas, on Saturday, March 23. 

Comprising athletes Tory Blaylock, Landon Fontenot, Jordan Parker, and Jelani Watkins, the team hinted at their potential for greatness during Friday's heats, leading the nation with a swift preliminary time of 40.22 seconds. 

In the finals on Saturday, the Atascocita squad stunned spectators by demolishing their competitors with a groundbreaking time of 38.92 seconds, establishing a new U.S. high school record by nearly one second and claiming the fastest time in the world for the year thus far.

Duncanville's team also delivered an impressive performance, breaking the 40-second mark with a time of 39.65 seconds to secure second place.
