Last weekend, World Athletics officially unveiled their prestigious list of 11 nominees for the coveted title of Men's World Athlete of the Year. A distinguished panel of athletics experts, hailing from all six corners of the globe and representing World Athletics, meticulously handpicked these exceptional athletes.
In a year brimming with memorable moments and outstanding achievements in the world of sports, the nominations pay tribute to the remarkable performances witnessed at events like the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, thrilling one-day meeting circuits, Label road races, and various competitions spanning the entire globe.

World Athletics has opened voting for the Athlete of the Year. The Council's vote will make up 50% of the result, while the Athletics Family and public votes will each account for 25%. Fans can vote on World Athletics' social media, with 'likes' and retweets representing votes. Voting ends on 28th October. Ten finalists (5 women and 5 men) will be announced on 13-14 November, and winners will be unveiled on 11 December on social media.
