Jamaica placed the three medallists from the women's 100m in Saturday's World Championships 4x100m relay final. However, it was still not enough to stop a U.S. quartet of Melissa Jefferson, Abby Steiner, Jenna Prandini, and Twanisha Terry from winning gold.

In the final leg Twanisha Terry held off 100m World champion Shericka Jackson to win the women's 4×100 meters relay gold medal, setting a world-leading time of 41.14.

Germany secured bronze clocking 42.03 seconds.
