Shericka Jackson completed the sprint double at the Jamaican championships as she charged to a 200m victory.
After taking a surprise victory in a stacked 100m field on Friday, the Olympic 4×100 meters gold medalist Jackson produced another outstanding performance on Sunday (26) by claiming the 200m title in a new World-leading and new personal best and the third fastest time history of 21.55 seconds. She missed the Jamaican record by Elaine Thompson-Herah by only two-hundredth of a second.
The double Olympic champion Thompson-Herah finished second with a new season’s best time of 22.05 a second, while 2013 world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who clocked the fastest qualifying time on Saturday, took third place with 22.14.
Women's 200m Final Results
In the men's 200m final Andrew Hudson took the Jamaican title clocking 20.10. He finished ahead of Yohan Blake 2nd in 20.31 and Nigel Ellis 3rd with 20.41!
