Benjamin Azamati Clocks Amazing 9.90 at Texas Relays

On Friday (25), Benjamin Azamati erupted to a world-leading time of 9.90 seconds at the Texas Relays at the Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Azamati burned the Austin track over 100 meters for the second year in a row with a sub 10 performance.

Azamati, with his 9.90, is now tied for the # 4 spot on the NCAA collegiate 100m all-time list. He also destroyed his own NCAA DII and Ghana National record of 9.97, which was set last year at the Texas Relays.

Christian Coleman, who ran for Tennessee, holds the NCAA record with 9.82. Divine Oduduru (Tech Texas) with 9.86 and Ngoni Makusha (Florida State) with 9.89 are sitting in 2nd and 3rd position on the NCAA 100m all-time lists.
