Ferdinand Omanyala Omurwa destroyed his own Kenyan national 100m record with a stunning 9.86 at the Josko Lauf Meeting in Austria on Friday. He bacame the first Kenyan to run the 100m under 10 seconds.
The Tokyo Olympics semi finalist, Omanyala Omurwa, first clocked 9.96 in the heats and then won the 100m final at the Josko Lauf Meeting with 9.86 seconds.
In May Omanyala Omurwa broke the Kenyan 100m record with 10.06. At the Kenyan championships in June he lowered the record to 10.02 and at the Olympic Games he clocked 10.00.
