Johannes Vetter throws huge world lead in the javelin 91.50m

The 2017 world champion Johannes Vetter from Germany, threw a massive world lead in the javelin with a 91.50m throw in Offenburg on Saturday.

Vetter had a great series of throws - 86.12m, 87.59m, 88.21m, 88.32m and 91.50m in the fifth round. He concluded the competition with anothe solid throw 87.12m.

Vetter so far is the only thrower to eclipse the 90 metre-line this year. He moved Indian record holder Neeraj Chopra (88.07m NR and SB) to the No. 2 position in World season rankings.

Last year Vetter came within one metre of the Czech's Jan Zelezny world record of 98.48m with an amazing 97.76m at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzow.
