Tara Davis Soars 7.14m to Set NCAA Long Jump Record at Texas Relays

Tara Davis from the University of Texas set a new collegiate NCAA long jump record with a massive 7.14m performance on the second day of Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, TX on Friday.

The 21-year-old Davis after fouling on her first two attempts jumped 6.97m (w1.0m/s) PB before setting a new NCAA record of 7.14m (w1.0m/s) in the 4th round.

In the men's 100m dash prelims Benjamin Azamati clocked 9.97 (1.5m/s) to break Ghanaian 100m record of 9.98 set back in 1999 by Leonard Myles-Mills.
