Armand Duplantis cleared a huge 6.10m in the pole vault at the Serbian Open Indoor meet, a World Athletics World indoor tour bronze level event, in Belgrade on Wednesday (24).
The 21-year-old, pole vault world record holder, cleared the 6.10m height on his first attempt bettering his own pole vault world lead by 7cm. He also attempted a new world record at 6.19m but failed on all three attempts.
Poland's Piotr Lisek was second in the men's pole vault with 5.70m while Olympic champion Thiago Braz of Brazil was third with the same height.
Elsewhere, Serbia's Ivana Spanovic after failing her first two attempts managed to win the women's long jump with a 6.71m leap in round five. Great Britain's Jasmin Sawyers was second with 6.50m effort in round four.
In the men's shot put, Serbian Armin Sinancevic threw 21.15m for the win.
