Kenya's Nicholas Kiptoo Kosgei and Bahreini Nelly Jepkosgei banned for Doping

The Athletics Integrity Unit, AIU, has banned Kenyas distance runner Nicholas Kiptoo Kosgei and Bahreini middle-distance runner Nelly Jepkosgei for Anti Doping rules violation.

The AIU banned the Kenyan runner from sports for 16 months for the presence of a prohibited substance which is a violation of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules.

A Kenyan-born Bahreini 800m runner, Nelly Jepkosgei received a provisional suspension for tampering or attempted tampering with the doping control process. If she is proved guilty she could face a 4-year ban from sports.
