Reigning World 10000m champion Uganda's Joshua Cheptegei returns to the competition on Sunday, February 14 with a 5km road race in Monaco.
Cheptegei will return to Herculis Monaco's 5km run one year after he established a new 5km World record on the roads with 12:51.
During the 2020 outdoor season, Cheptegei set two world records on the track. He first clocked 12:35.36 at the Wanda Diamond League in Monaco on 14 August. Less than two months late on October 7, He clocked an astonishing 10000m World record of 26:11.00 - six seconds faster than the previous record - at the NN Valencia World Record Day
