Femke Bol beats 23-year-old Netherlands 400m record with 50.96

Femke Bol broke the Netherlands national 400m record indoors that stood for 23 years until today at the international Vienna Indoor meet.

The 400m hurdles, Bol, won the 400m clocking 50.96 to beat the previous Dutch recod of 51.82 seconds.

 A few minutes earlier Lieke Klaver from a different heat clocked a new Austrian record 400m with 51.48 seconds.

About half an hour later both sprinters returned to track to race the 200m. Bol clocked 23.52 just a few hundreds of a second outside the national indoor record while Klaver ran the second heat and clocked 23.17 to break the national record.
