Piotr Lisek Soars 5.90m in Pole Vault in Szczecin

Poland's pole vault star Piotr Lisek highlighted the 3rd editoion of Memoriał Wiesława Maniaka in Szczecin on Sunday (16).

The World Championships silver medalist, Lisek, cleared his season's best 5.90m to win the event and to set the 2nd best mark in the pole vault in the World this year.

Holly Bradshaw won the women's pole vault with 4.70m. After she attempted to clear 4.82m a new British record but failed on all three attempts. Poland's Michal Haratyk won the shot put with 21.57m beating Germany's David Storl by nearly one meter.

Jakub Krezewin (POL) produced the 2nd fastest 400m time in Europe this year by winning the 400m in 45.59. 

British middle-distance runners Alexandra Bell and Adelle Tracy dominated women's 800m by finishing 1st and 2nd with 2:00.28 and 2:00.99 respectively.

Czech Republic's Filip Sasinek won the men's 1000m race in a new personal best time of 2:17.05 which is the 2nd fastest time in Europe this year.

In Leverkusen, Germany at #TrueAthletes Classics, defending World champion Sam Kendricks equaled his pole vault season's best of 5.81m for the win. In the same meeting Katharina Trost toom the mile in a World-leading 4:29.35, Imani Lansiquot of Great Britain won the women's 100m in 11.16. Nadine Visser of Netherlands set a new meeting record of 12.85to to win the 100m hurdles final. Italian Gianmarco Tamberi took the high jump with 2.29m.

After his massive 91.49m world lead in Turku on Monday, Johannes Vetter threw 84.30 to win the javelin.
