Fraser-Pryce (10.87) and Elaine Thompson-Herah (10.88) Highlight Velocity Fest 4 in Jamiaca

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Elaine Thompson-Herah highlighted the Velocity Fest 4 on Saturday (8) in Kingston, Jamaica.

Fraser-Pryce, the reigning World champion, clocked a new 100m World lead of 10.87 seconds to win the heat 2 finishing miles ahead of Shashalee Forbes (11.20) and Kasheika Cameron (11.56).

The double Olympic sprint champion, Elaine Thomspon-Herah, produced the 2nd fastest 100m time in the World this term by claiming heat #3 in 10.88 seconds.

There were also great women's 400m times. The Commonwealth Games 400m hurdles champion Janieve Russels  51.76 beating Shericka Jackson, the Doha 2019 World championships medalist in the event, by 0.02 seconds.

Elsewhere, Fedrick Dacres won the men's discus throw with 64.45m while Chad Wright threw 63.24m to take second.

Tyquendo Tracy won the men's 100m heat #4 with 10.20 seconds. Nesta Carter also clocked 10.20 to win the heat 5.
