Jakob Ingebrigsten Smashes Norweigan 5km Record in Stavenger

Jakob Ingebrigsten broke the Norweigan road 5km record at the Forus Perselop in Stavanger on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old Jakob comfortably clocked 13:28 and broke Sondre Nordstad Moen's 13:37 record.

To break the Norwegian record, Jakob pushed the pace in the second of two 2.5K loops and sprinted into the finish as his oldest brother, Henrik, finished behind with a time of 13:32 unofficially. A total of five runners started the race together.
