World Athletics Championships Oregon 2021 Rescheduled for 2022
The World Athletics announced on Monday it will postpone Oregon 2021 World Championships for one year.
The World Athletics said it is working with the Oregon 2021 organizers to find a new dates for the World championships in 2022.
The decision to postopone Oregon 2021 World Athletics Champinships came after the International Olympic Commettee (IOC) rescheduled on Monday the Tokyo 2020 Olympics for the summer of next year becaue of Coronavirus pandemic.
"Everyone needs to be flexible and compromise and to that end we are now working with the organisers of the World Athletics Championships in Oregon on new dates in 2022 for our World Athletics Championships. We are also in discussions with the Commonwealth Games Federation and the European Championships. We would like to thank our Oregon 21 Organising Committee, their stakeholders and our partners for their collaboration and willingness to explore all options." the World Athletics said.
