Kenenisa Bekele Smashes Mo Farah's Course Record at the Vitality Big Half in London

The Vitality Big Half 2020: Legendary Ethiopian runner Kenenisa Bekele broke Mo Farah's course record on Sunday in London.

Bekele clocked 1 hour and 22 second in the half marathon shaving 1 minute and 18 seconds off from the course record set last year by Mo Farah.

Chris Thompson was the first British athlete to coss the line in 61:07 for the second place. Jake Smith who finished 3rd clocked 62:00 improving his own British under-23 half-marathon record time by 2 seconds.

Kenenisa Bekele continues his preparation for the 2020 London marathon where he will face marathon World record holder ELiud Kipchoge.

Great Britain's Lily Partridge won the women's half marathon race for the first time at the Vitality Big Hafl with a time of 1:10:49.
