NCAA Record Holder Duplantis Beaten in NCAA Championships

LSU’s Armand Duplantis, the 2nd best pole vaulter in history at 6.05m,  the European champion, NCAA record holder and indoor champion was beaten at the NCAA Outdoor Championships by South Dakota's Chris Nilsen in Austin, TX on Wednesday.

The 19-year-old Duplantis in his first NCAA Outdoor championships cleared solid 5.80m, but it was not enough for the win as Chris Nilsen broke a 22-year-old meet record with a 5.95m (19-6¼) performance.

Men's Javelin

Andersen Petters of Missisippi State Broke wins the javelin with a new meet record of 86.62m (284-2 ft) throw.
