Kenny Bednarek clocks 19.82 in 200m and 44.73 in 400m on the same day

Kenny Bednarek a freshman of Indian Hills CC emerged on the track & field world this weekend at the 2019 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hobbs, New Mexico.

On Friday the 20-year-old  Bednarek shocked everyone when he clocked the fastest wind-aided 200m time in world history of 19.49 ( wind +6.1) in the 200m prelims.

But on Saturday Bednarek made more headlines. He won the 200m final in 19.82 seconds against the -0.8m/s headwind and then took the 400m final in 44.73 seconds. With his 19.82 and 44.73, Kenny Bednarek became just the second man in history to break 20 seconds for 200m and 45 seconds for 400m on the same day.
