Kiptum was set to run the London marathon on Sunday.
"We have a zero-tolerance policy on doping,"
"We recently announced a groundbreaking extensive intelligence-driven testing programme. This shows the programme is working. Cheats will be caught and there is no place for them in marathon running." London Marathon director Hugh Brasher told BBC.
Kiptum is one of many top Kenyan athletes suspended for doping or an Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) violation.
