Fraser-Pryce cruises to 100m victory, Migel Francis sets WL in 200 at Grenada Invitationa

Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce was in great form as she won the women's 100m at the Grenada Invitational on Saturday, March 13 in St George.

The 9-World and 2-times Olympic champion Fraser-Pryce easily won the 100m dash in 11.20 seconds (wind 0.6m/s) which was a new meet record. Another Jamaican Jonelle Smith came in second in 11.35 with American Aliyah Brown in third in 11.46.

British athlete Migel Francis clocked a new 200m World lead and a meet record of 20.10 seconds (wind 1.0m/s) and beat 3-time Olympic games medalist Andre de Grasse of Canada into second place (20.16 seconds).

The men's 100m won Great Britain's Adam Gemili in 10.10 (wind 0.4m/s) as Canadian sprinter Aaron Brown was second in 10.13, with Christopher Belcher of the United States in third in 10.14.

The women's 100m hurdles was won by Evonne Britton of the USA in a personal best an Wold lead of 12.81 (wind 1.9m/s) ahead of Jamaica's Megan Simmonds in 12.93. American 2016 Olympic silver medallist Nia Ali was third in 12.99.
