Ronnie Baker Sets 100m World Lead of 9.87 in Chorzow

USA's sprinter Ronnie Baker took down a high-quality men's 100m field and set a new World lead and a personal best at 2018 Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Chorzow, Poland on Wednesday, (22).

The World indoor 60m dash bronze medalist, Baker, stopped the clock at 9.87 seconds, miles ahead of his countryman Mike Rodgers (10.10) and 2017 World 200m champion Ramil Guliyev of Turkey, who crossed the line in 3rd in 10.21. Former 100m world record Asafa Powel of Jamaica, who was out for several months with a hamstring injury, set his seasons best of 10.24 seconds and finished in 4th place.
