Kipchoge withdraws from London World Athletics Championships

Olympic marathon champion Eliud Kipchoge has withdrawn from London World Athletics Championships (August 4-13) , the Athletics Kenya announced on Tuesday. 

Kipchoge, who almost broke the 2-hour barrier in marathon last month, said he needs more time to recover from brutal world record attempt in Monza, Italy.

Wilson Kipsang a former world marathon record holder will also skip World championships to race the Berlin marathon in September.
