Sydney Mclaughlin shattered her own World junior 400m hurdles record with 52.75

The 18-year-old freshman from University, Sydney Mclaughlin, of Kentucky clocked a shocking 52.75 seconds to shave 0.85 from her previous personal best and World junior record at 2018 SEC outdoor championships.
“This is the time we were looking for 52-something,” said McLaughlin. “I’m just really glad I was able to come out and get it.
“I still have a lot of learning to do in the race, but I think so far this season, we've been able to progress.”
