The Mondo Classic 2024, part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour Silver, is a unique pole vaulting event set to take place on February 6th, 2024, at the IFU Arena in Uppsala, Sweden. This event marks the third occasion that the Mondo Classic is being held, featuring the world's elite pole vaulters in a gala format competition. The event is celebrated for its engaging atmosphere, complete with light shows, music, and world record attempts, making it a highly anticipated event in the athletics calendar.
Last year's competition was highlighted by an arena record of 6.10 meters set by Mondo Duplantis himself, alongside two other athletes surpassing the 5.91 meters mark. The centrally located pole vault runway in the arena ensures that spectators on both sides get a close-up view of the action, enhanced by atmospheric music and lighting.
