Piotr Lisek (5.92m) prevails in Cotbus With a New Pole Vault World Lead

Poland's Piotr Lisek went over 5.92m to win men's pole vault contest at the International jumps meet in Cottbus, Germany. 

The World and European Indoor championships bronze medalist, Lisek, set a new personal best and world indoor lead in pole vault on Wednesya, January 25 in Cottbus. 

The second place in men's pole vault took Germany's Raphael Holzdeppe, who  managed  to vault 5.73 m as Konstandinos Filippidis of Greece took third with 5.68m.

The other event at Cottbus indoor meet was women's high jump. Lithuania's Airine Palsyte cleared 1.95m a new season's best for the win as as Anna Simic took second with 1.92m. 

Olympic Champion Ruth Beitia of Spain was third with 1.92m.
