Kate Grace captures US title in a dramatic 800m final at Olympic Trials
Kate Grace win women's 800m final as favourites Alysia Montano and Brenda Martinez collided and to make the US Rio Olympics team on day four at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene.
Drama started about 150m left in the race when a pack of seven runner was still tight and Ajee Wilson in lead. Martinez, the 2013 world championship bronze medalist, running in lane was tripped as montano ran into the back of her and fell on the track. Martinez was also left out of the race as she struggled to pick up the speed after the collision and finish in 7 place.
Kate Grace won the event in 1:59.10 followed by Ajee Wilson and Chrishuna Williams.
Meanwhile, devastated Montano picked herself up and jogged to finish to the finish to place last in the 800m final.

Men's 800m Final
Clayton Murphy punched his ticket to Rio Olympics as he took a surprise win in the men's 800m final over the world indoor champion and pre race favourite Boris Berian. The last spot on US Olympic team claimed Charles Jock by placing in third position.
