Faydek Throws 80.88m to win hammer throw gold

Poland's Pawel Faydek successfully defended his hammer throw world championships title on Sunday night at the IAAF World Athletics Championships In Beijing.

 

The 26-year-old Poll in third round took the lead with a throw of 80.64. In the next round Faydek improved his lead by throwing 80.88m. 

Dilshod Nazarov of Tajikistan took silver with a 78.55m, while Poland's Wojciech Nowicki surprisingly took bronze medal with a mark of  78.55m.
