Gardiner (44.27) break's Chris Brown's Bahama's national record

Steven Gardiner set a new national record over one lap race during the opening day at Bahama's national championships on Saturday afternoon in Nassau.

Gardiner, who won his first Diamond League meet in Olso two weeks ago, was unstoppable in the men's 400m final at national championships in Nassau as he took down the field by crossing the line first with a new PB of 44.27 seconds.

 The 19-year-old  Gardiner shattered Olympic games silver medalist's Christopher Brown's Bahamian national record of 44.40 from year 2002.
