Shamier Little Sets 400m hurdles world lead at NCAA championships finals

University of Texas A&M sophomore Shamier Little set a new world leading mark in the women's 400m hurdles at the 2015 NCAA D1 outdoor championships on Saturday night in Hayward Field in Eugene.

Running in lane 8 Shamier Little managed to cross to the line first in an impressive new personal best  and a new world leading time of 53.74  ahead of pre-race favorite Kendra Harrison of Kentucky who finished second in 54.06. 

In the 100m final Oregon's Jenna Prandini had to work really hard to beat Texas's Morolake Akinosun. Prandini won the race in 10.96w seconds beating Akinosun by 0.01 seconds. 

Dezerea Bryant of Kentucky beat the field in the 200m with world season's #3 time of 22.18 and beating Oregon star  Jenna Prandini by 0.03 seconds.

There was also a world class time set in the women's 800m with Oregon's Raevyn Rogers winning the event with a time of 1:59.71. 

Like Oregon's men's team last night, the Univerasity of Oregon women's team took the 2015 NCAA D1 championships trophy scoring 59 points.
