Yohan Blake returns to track with 200m in a low key meet in Kingston

The 2011 world 100m champion Yohan Blake made his first appearance of the year with a 200m race at a low key meet in Kingston just two weeks before Jamaican national trials.

Blake, who suffered a hamstring injury at last year on July 3 Glasgow Grand Prix, in his return race won his 200m heat posting a modest time of 21.57 seconds.

"I felt a bit ceased-up but that's expected for my first run. I'm going to run some more races now that my foot is alright,"

"I just wanted to get that first run in the books and although the (head) wind was a bit heavy it was alright and I'll work from there."

"I'm going to run one more 200m next week and going into trials, I just want to do enough to secure an individual spot in the 100m or 200m," Yohan Blake  told Reuters.
