France Takes Men's 60m Hurdles Podium

French hurdlers with a clean sweep in the 60m hurdle race concluded day 2 of the European Indoor Championships in Prague's O2 Arena on Friday evening.

The 23-year-old Pascal Martinot-Lagarde took a surprise win as he defeated 60m hurdle favorite Dimitri Bascou and Wilhem Bolacian.

Martinot-Lagarde clocked a season's best time of 7.49 seconds to take gold, while Bascou finished after 7.50 seconds. The bronze medal winner  Wilhem Bolacian clocked a personal best mark 7.52 seconds. Silver medalist Bascou in the semi finals posted a super fast 7.46 seconds which is the second fastest time this year in the world.

It is the first time in European championships history that athletes from one nation takes the whole podium.
