The Dutch runner Sifan Hassan won the women's 1500m with a WL mark of 4:00.46. Germany's world season leader Homiyu Tesfaye took the win in the men's 1500m race setting a new national record of 3:34:13. The mark is also European indoor all time #3.
In the men's 800m Qatar’s Musaeb Balla battled poland's Adam Kszczot and Marcin Levandowski for the win. Balla won the race with a new WL mark of 1:45.48, while Kszczot and Levandowski clocked 1:45.77 and 1:45.78 respectively.
In the men's 400m B Race teenager Abadalleleh Haroun of Qatar unexpectedly won the event with a new Asian indoor record of 45.39 seconds. The A race won world indoor champion Pavel Maslak, from Czech Republic, who clocked 46.38.
