Makau Wins Fukuoka Marathon

 Former marathon world record holder, Patrick Makau, won the International Fukuoka marathon in Japan on Sunday.

 

The 29-year-old Makau, in his comeback marathon clocked 2:08:22. The second place finisher Ethiopian Raji Assefa was 24 seconds behind the winner, while Mongolia's Ser-Od Bat-Ochir surprisingly finished in third in  2:08:50.
