Bromell Sets New World Junior 100m Record of 9.97 to Win NCAA Championhips

Jamaica´s Trayvon Bromell won the men’s 100 meters at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships final on Friday, setting a new the world junior record with his time of 9.97 seconds.

“It was all perfect, and I was happy,” said Bromell who clocked wind aidad 9.77 seconds earlier this year. 

“My whole thing was if I won, it was going to be a good time because of the competitors,” the 18-year-old Bromell said. “I knew they were going to push me to the limit.” the 18 year old University of Baylor freshmen concluded.
