Osipenko Looses Silver Medal from 2012 Helsinki Euro Champs in Heptathlon for Dop

According to the latest European Athletics result changes from the 2012 European Outdoor championships, the Silver medalist in heptathlon, Ludmila Osipenko of Ukraine, have been disqualified.

In 2012 Helsinki European Outdoor championships Ukranian, Osipenko, took silver in the women´s heptathlon scoring  6387, but now almost year and a half after the event she has been disqualified and removed the silver medal as a results of IAAF Anti Doping Rule (32.2.b) violation  (use or Attempted Use by an Athlete of a Prohibited Substance
or a Prohibited Method).

It is not known of what particular substance or method the athlete have used, but if proved guilty she could receive a 2 year ban.

After the disqualification, to second place moved Latvian Laura Ikauniece and to third her compatriot, Aiga Grabuste.

The European Athletics are doing everything possible for athletes to receive their new corresponding medals as soon as possible.
