Jelimo to Return in Russian Winter

After a season of silence, the Beijing Olympic 800m Champion, Pamela Jelimo of Kenya, is scheduled to return on the track on February 2nd with an 800m race at the Russian Winter, an IAAF World Indoor Permit Meeting.

On february 2, Jelimo's biggest challengers will be Britain's 800m star Jenny Meadows and Russia's London Olympic bronze medalist Yekaterina Poistogova. Also World and Olympic games finalist Nataliya Lupu (UKR), Nelli Yepkosgei (KEN) and several top Russian middle distance runners are set for the 800m.

The 22 year old Kenyan, at the 2012 World Indoor championships 800m final won the gold with a new PR in  of 1:58.83.

Jelimo set histories third fastest 800m time 1:54.01 when she won gold at the Beijing Olymcs, but since the she has been struggling to find her form for outdoor competitions. She hopes now that a good indoors could finally be a good continuation for an excellent outdoors as her training has been going more than well.
