Bolt and Fraser-Pryce Win IAAF AOY Award

With no big surprise, Jamaicans Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce were named the Male and Female World Athletes of the Year for 2013 on Saturday (16).

At the IAAF World Championships in Moscow, Bolt won 100m, 200m and 4x100m gold for Jamaica. Bolt also holds seasons fastest time in 200m.

Similar story goes for Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Like Bolt, she also took world titles at Moscow's World Champs in 100m, 200m and 4x100m and holds worlds fastest times this year in 100m and 200m.

Besides the trophy Both athletes will also received a check of US$100,000 from the IAAF.

“This season will be the one to go for the (200m) World record,” announced Bolt.

“I want to get ready to attack the World record,” he added, hinting that below 19 seconds was the target.
